Walk For Hope

Join us as we Walk for Hope at 8:00 a.m., Saturday morning, October 16, 2010, at Fabyan Forest Preserve, just north of Fabyan Parkway on Rt. 31, Geneva.

The actual 'walk' is 5K along the Fox River from Fabyan down to Wilson Street in Batavia, and back. For those who aren't up to the walk, come anyway. There will be seating for you.

Participants can choose to raise money on-line, by creating their own fundraising page or in-person with one of our collection envelopes. You are welcome to walk as an individual or with a team--but it is more fun to walk with a team.

How to get involved

Step One- Form a Team
Gather up your friends, co-workers and/or neighbors and form a team. After you form a team, create a name and elect a captain who will be responsible for distributing and collecting information to and from team members. This year, the team captain will be able to turn in money and pick up t-shirts at Mutual Ground before the walk.

Step Two - Register
CLICK HERE to Register as soon as possible so that you can start raising funds and building a team. Registration fees are $20 per person; $12 for children 4-10 yrs old.
No registration fee when you agree to raise $100.
Teams: Follow the directions to register.
Note: Every person on your team (kids and adults) needs to register. You will be asked if you are joining an existing team or adding a new team. And it's best for all the team members to register themselves. That way everyone can 'sign' the waiver and choose their t-shirt size.

Step Three - Create your own fundraising page Personalize the page. Create your own message (or use ours). Add a photo. Send out the link to your page to everyone you can think of--near or far.
